Lifter Training Course Duration

1 Day Operator training course for Boom Lift (typically 8.30am to 4.30pm). Please note that Scissor Lift can also be done on the same day as Mobile Boom. See our MEWP Training course listed under Course List.

Location

This 1 day Boom Lift training course is available daily from any of our training centres (Ashbourne, Dublin, Cork, Limerick).

On-site training on your premises is also available anywhere in the UK and Ireland subject to minimum numbers. A suitable room would be required for on-site training for the theory section of the course, and a Mobile Boom Lift is needed for the practical. A copy of the current 6 monthly Certificate of Thorough Examination for each Self Propelled Boom is required.

Boom Lift Certification

Successful delegates will receive a Height for Hire Card valid for 5 years, Height for Hire Certificate of Training. Photographs for the operator card are taken on site and included in the above price.

Trainee Requirements

Candidates for MEWP courses must be at least 16 years of age. They must be medically fit to operate machinery.

PPE Requirements

Trainees must have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment with them (i.e. Helmet, Safety Boots, Hi-Viz Vest, Harness & Lanyard).

This Boom Lift Operator training course is suitable for anyone who operates powered access boom lifts, telescopic or articulated aerial work platforms.

Course Objectives

To provide delegates with the essential knowledge required to operate self propelled telescopic booms, articulating booms or mobile booms efficiently and safely.

Training Methods

Presentation with slides, video, printed course material, demonstration, practical use.
