Self Erect Crane Assessment Duration
1 Day FAS CSCS Self Erect Crane Assessment (typically 8.30am to 4.30pm).

Location
This 1 day Self Erect Crane Assessment course is available on-site on your premises anywhere in the Republic of Ireland subject to minimum numbers. A suitable room would be required for on-site training for the theory section of the course, and machines are needed for the practical. The Certificate of Thorough Examination for the machine must be in date where required.

Self Erect Crane Certification
On successful completion of this FAS CSCS Self Erect Crane Assessment you will be issued with a FETAC Certificate and FAS CSCS Operator Card for Self Erect Cranes.

Self Erect Crane Course Description
The Programme will consist of a combination of a classroom session of underpinning knowledge relating to Self Erect Crane operations, and practical operation of the Self Erect Crane.

Trainee Requirements
Candidates must be over 18 and may attend the Self Erect Crane Assessment by a choice of 2 routes:

Candidates who have no experience of operating Self Erect Cranes must complete the 3 day New Entrant Self Erect Crane course before attending the FAS CSCS Assessment (listed on our Course List).

Experienced Self Erect Crane Operators who have not attended the 3 day New Entrant programme may present for the Self Erect Crane Assessment subject to filling out the required Self Assessment / Declaration paperwok and satisfying the relevant criteria. Please contact our office for further information.

Candidates must hold a current Slinger Signaller FAS CSCS card before applying for Crane New Entrant Training or Crane Assessments.

All candidates must hold a current FÁS Safe Pass Registration Card.

PPE Requirements
Trainees must have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment with them i.e. Helmet, Safety Boots, Hi-Viz Vest.

This FAS CSCS Self Erect Crane Assessment is suitable for anyone who wishes to achieve the CSCS Self Erect Crane card (ticket) which is required for Self Erect Crane drivers on construction sites.

Course Objectives
To assess delegates on the knowledge and skills needed to operate Self Erect Cranes safely.
